Job Detail
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
  • Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW, and &lt.LOCATION&gt. welding techniques to join metal components accurately.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters to shape and assemble materials.
  • Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment.
  • Execute pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and sheet metal work according to project requirements.
  • Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
  • Follow ASME codes standards during fabrication and welding processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Assist in mechanical assembly, fabrication of components, and installation on construction sites when necessary.
  • Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool maintenance.
  • Requirements
  • Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing settings involving welding and fitting tasks.
  • Proficiency in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW welding processes. &lt.LOCATION&gt. welding experience preferred.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
  • Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices.
  • Knowledge of fabrication techniques including plasma cutting, press brake operation, soldering, machining, and assembly.
  • Mechanical aptitude with understanding of rigging, pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and schematics interpretation.
  • Familiarity with ASME codes standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
  • Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes.
  • Ability to work safely on construction sites or manufacturing floors while adhering to safety protocols related to crane operation, forklift handling, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE). This position is ideal for candidates committed to precision craftsmanship with a solid foundation in welding/fitting techniques across various industries including construction and manufacturing.
