Job Detail
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project specifications.
- Perform MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW, and <.LOCATION>. welding techniques to join metal components accurately.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment such as press brake machines and plasma cutters to shape and assemble materials.
- Measure materials precisely using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Execute pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and sheet metal work according to project requirements.
- Operate rigging equipment and forklifts safely for material handling and assembly tasks.
- Follow ASME codes standards during fabrication and welding processes to ensure compliance with industry regulations.
- Assist in mechanical assembly, fabrication of components, and installation on construction sites when necessary.
- Maintain a clean work environment by adhering to safety protocols and proper tool maintenance.
- Requirements
- Proven experience in construction site environments or manufacturing settings involving welding and fitting tasks.
- Proficiency in MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), FCAW welding processes. <.LOCATION>. welding experience preferred.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices.
- Knowledge of fabrication techniques including plasma cutting, press brake operation, soldering, machining, and assembly.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of rigging, pipe threading, ductwork fabrication, and schematics interpretation.
- Familiarity with ASME codes standards related to welding and fabrication practices.
- Strong basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during fabrication processes.
- Ability to work safely on construction sites or manufacturing floors while adhering to safety protocols related to crane operation, forklift handling, and use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
