Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Job Detail
- Use gas tungs10arc equipment as part of the fabrication process
- Install or repair metal components
- Use grinding and polishing equipment in the final process
- Follow blueprints, diagrams, or technical schematics
- Read and interpret production drawings
- Prepare materials, to include cutting metal components to appropriate size and shape
- Set up welding equipment, including gas tanks, torches, and regulators
- Operate welding machines, tools, and equipment
- Follow safety protocols and wear personal protective equipment (PPE) while welding
- Maintain inventory of welding supplies and equipment
- Perform welding repairs on a variety of metals
- Ensure high quality standards of welded materials
- Assist with other fabrication projects as required
- Experience:
- Warehouse: 1 year required
- TIG welding: 3 years (Required)
- Experience welding nitrided steel preferred
- Blueprint reading: 2 years (Required)
- Fabrication: 2 years (Required)
- Skills:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints
- Understanding of welding safety practices and procedures
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime when necessary
- Experience:
- Highschool Diploma or Equivalent Required.
- Certification in TIG welding techniques
- Physical Demands:
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Must be able to work within hot environment.
- This position includes use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Proper use of PPE is required.
