Job Detail
- Mentor and develop welders. set clear expectations and coach performance.
- Perform advanced TIG welding on INCO, Hastelloy X, stainless, and carbon steels.
- Inspect and sign off on weld quality. maintain all required documentation.
- Support other shop areas when needed. Capabilities Experience 5–10 years of welding experience preferred. proven leadership track record.
- Familiarity with the Power Generation industry preferred.
- Available for significant mandatory overtime during peak demand.
- Fixture assembly and utilization experience.
- Measurement accuracy with calipers, vernier calipers, ID/OD micrometers, etc.
- Read/interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
- Execute delicate, high-precision welds with minimal distortion.
- Specialty metals expertise (INCO, Hastelloy X, carbon, stainless steel, etc.).
- Metallurgy knowledge. skilled in setting up and operating welding equipment.
- Mechanical aptitude and strong written/verbal communication.
- Ability to anticipate change, organize workflows for efficiency, and communicate succinctly to drive outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills and dependability.
- Physically able to stand/walk for long periods. frequent bending, reaching, lifting.
- Adherence to safety guidelines set by the customer and ARMS.
