Job Detail
  • Operate and program FANUC Genvirity trac welding robot to perform automated welding operations.
  • Set up robotic welding cells, including fixtures, tooling, wire feed systems, and part alignment.
  • Interpret and work from blueprints, engineering drawings, and weld symbols to ensure correct weld placement and quality.
  • Adjust welding parameters (speed, voltage, amperage, etc.) for optimal weld quality and production efficiency.
  • Inspect welds visually and with measuring instruments, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards (AWS, ISO, etc.).
  • Perform preventive maintenance on welding robots, torches, and peripheral equipment.
  • Troubleshoot robotic and welding issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with engineers and production staff to improve welding programs and processes.
  • Maintain accurate production and maintenance records.
  • Follow all safety and quality protocols, ensuring a clean and organized work area.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED required. technical or trade school certification preferred.
  • 3+ years of welding experience, with at least 1–2 years operating FANUC or similar robotic welding systems (Genvirity experience highly desirable).
  • Proficient in GMAW (MIG), GTAW (TIG), and/or FCAW processes.
  • Knowledge of robotic programming languages, specifically FANUC teach pendant and program editing.
  • Strong understanding of welding parameters, metallurgy, and joint design.
  • Ability to read blueprints and welding symbols accurately.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
  • Tolerate exposure to welding fumes, heat, and noise (with appropriate PPE).
  • Preferred Skills:
  • FANUC Genvirity certification or equivalent robotic welding training.
  • Experience with CMM or visual inspection tools for weld verification.
  • Basic PLC and automation troubleshooting skills.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and 5S principles.
