Job Detail
- Utilize welding and fabricating skills vital for the installation of stairs, rails and miscellaneous metals
- Organize tools and materials for the installation of stairs, rails, and miscellaneous metals
- Follow all safety procedures and expectations, including wearing proper PPE and site-specific safety plans
- Ensure that work performed exceeds the high-quality standards of Hanover Iron Works, Inc. WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A FIELD INSTALLER/WELDER Experience in the misc. metals field for 2+ years preferred
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as blueprints, safety rules, Tool-Box Shop Talks and safety procedures, Operator’s Manuals and maintenance instructions
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
- Understanding of angles and degrees
- Working knowledge of AWS D1.1. and the following processes, SMAW, FCAW, GMAW and GTAW
- Current welder certifications or ability to pass weld test
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
