- Perform MIG welding using
- 035 wire on 14 Ga, 16 Ga, and 12 Ga red and galvanized steel materials
- Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and welding symbols
- Set up welding equipment, including voltage, wire feed speed, and gas flow for optimal results on thin material
- Inspect welds to ensure quality, consistency, and adherence to specifications
- Grind, clean, and prep metal as needed to ensure strong weld joints
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all company safety protocols
- Perform routine maintenance on welding equipment
Requirements
Qualifications:
Proven experience in MIG welding, especially on light gauge steel- Ability to work with galvanized materials without compromising weld quality
- Familiarity with
- 035 wire setup and thin material welding techniques
- Strong attention to detail and quality control
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- High school diploma or GED preferred; welding certification is a plus
Qualifications
Experience in a production or manufacturing environment- AWS certification (optional but preferred)
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) is a plus
