Job Detail
  • Perform quality welds in an efficient manner
  • Ability to perform stick welding and flux core welding
  • Connect to leads from welding unit and adjusts amperage and voltage
  • Perform different styles of welding – vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead welding
  • Perform quality welds while in different physical positions as required by the job – i

  • Perform clamping, tack welding, fit-up, heat bending, bolting, or other necessary functions to keep warpage at a minimum
  • Perform work at elevated heights as necessary – climbing ladders and scaffolds
  • Clean up weld splatter and grind as necessary
  • Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed to complete daily tasks
  • Clean and prepare job sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches
  • Performs manual labor tasks as needed for successful project performance
  • Follow all FHG 360 safety policies and procedures, and any client specific safety requirements, on the job site and report violations immediately to superintendent
  • Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis
  • Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment
  • Follow project instructions from superintendent and/or foreman
  • Ensure regulated and proper headgear, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn
  • Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide assistance to skilled craft workers as needed

  • Position Requirements

    High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred
  • Necessary experience to perform quality stick and flux core welding tasks
  • Experience with 100% travel away from home preferred
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with all levels of management
  • Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
  • Comfortable climbing tall ladders, working at heights, and working in confined spaces
  • Possess a valid state or federal ID
  • Ability to pass a background check and obtain a TWIC card
  • Pass stick and flux core weld tests
