- Perform quality welds in an efficient manner
- Ability to perform stick welding and flux core welding
- Connect to leads from welding unit and adjusts amperage and voltage
- Perform different styles of welding – vertical, horizontal, flat, and overhead welding
- Perform quality welds while in different physical positions as required by the job – i

- Perform clamping, tack welding, fit-up, heat bending, bolting, or other necessary functions to keep warpage at a minimum
- Perform work at elevated heights as necessary – climbing ladders and scaffolds
- Clean up weld splatter and grind as necessary
- Operate a variety of hand and power tools, including drills, forklifts, skid loaders and other tools as directed to complete daily tasks
- Clean and prepare job sites as needed, including erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches
- Performs manual labor tasks as needed for successful project performance
- Follow all FHG 360 safety policies and procedures, and any client specific safety requirements, on the job site and report violations immediately to superintendent
- Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis
- Load and unload construction supplies from trucks both manually and with the use of equipment
- Follow project instructions from superintendent and/or foreman
- Ensure regulated and proper headgear, gloves, safety glasses, and clothing are worn
- Complete all assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner
- Provide assistance to skilled craft workers as needed
- Operate and carry out job duties in accordance with FHG’s Core Values and Code of Ethics
Position Requirements
High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) preferred- Necessary experience to perform quality stick and flux core welding tasks
- Experience with 100% travel away from home preferred
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with all levels of management
- Able to work independently or as an active member of a team
- Comfortable climbing tall ladders, working at heights, and working in confined spaces
- Possess a valid state or federal ID
- Ability to pass a background check and obtain a TWIC card
- Pass stick and flux core weld tests
