Job Detail
- The Landscape Tender PW performs a variety of landscape and irrigation duties using hand tools, power tools, and other equipment.
- Duties and Responsibilities: Lay sod and prepare planting areas.
- Plant trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Water and fertilize landscaped areas.
- Dig, rake, and perform general site preparation.
- Install and maintain sprinkler and irrigation systems.
- Install mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units.
- Operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Education and Experience: Minimum 6 months commercial landscape experience
- Ability to operate hand equipment with mechanized moving blades (e.g, gas-powered shears)
- Experience using manual hand tools such as shovels.
- Physical Demands/Requirements: The ability to work from elevated heights such as an 8’ A-frame ladder.
- Ability to use a hand shovel for extended period.
- Ability to move soil, equipment, and materials, dig holes, and plant trees, shrubs, and flowers.
- Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
- Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
- Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day.
- Ability to handle items such as plants, bushes, hoses, shovels, rakes, and burlap bags – which are handled by 2workers.
- Work Environment: Able to work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic.
- Able to work near or about natural bodies of water.
- Able to work 8+ hours per day with applicable breaks x 5 days/week (overtime/weekend work required)
- Ability to work in extreme conditions – temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time.

- $ 23.23 to 25 BrightView offers a suite or health, wellness, and financial benefits to full-time team members.
