Job Detail
- Experience in Heating and A/C repairs including electronic and vacuum controls
- Experience in performing electrical/ electronic diagnostics and repair of complex wiring on 2of the following: light, medium, heavy-duty trucks and heavy equipment
- Experience in performing hydraulic system diagnostics, repairs, and rebuilds on a variety of equipment
- Experience in the diagnostics and repair of powertrain components
- Experience in inventory management including parts, fuel, and lube commodities
- Additional Expectations: Employee is required to furnish a complete set of mechanics tools. Position requires work during any adverse weather such as snow and/or ice, tornadoes, hurricanes, etc. which can lead to working extended daily hours, weekends, and holidays. Must have the ability to operate forklift and pick-up truck as needed. The selected candidate must be able to legally operate CDL required equipment/trucks with both manual and automatic transmissions at the time of hire or within 360 days of hire date. Either possession of a current Class A Commercial Driver’s License with N endorsement on the date of hire, OR the North Carolina Commercial Driver’s License must be obtained through completion of an on-the-job training and all requirements mandated by Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (Federal Registry 49 CFR 383) within 360 days of the date of hire. Pre-employment drug testing required. As a condition of employment, a release form (ALCDRG-01) and a background statement (ALCDRG-06) must be completed and signed allowing the NCDOT to check with previous employers for the past 3years about controlled substances and alcohol testing. **Offer of employment will be contingent upon successful completion of NCDOT post offer employment evaluation.** For questions contact Julia Tuttle at 919-477-2128 Minimum Education and Experience
