Job Detail
- Safely operate trucks with manual transmissions, including flatbeds, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and other specialized vehicles.
- Load and unload fr8using appropriate equipment such as forklifts and Telehandler when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Follow designated routes and schedules to deliver fr8promptly while adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards.
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, including manifests, delivery receipts, and logs.
- Maintain communication with Field Manager regarding delivery status or any issues encountered during routes.
- Perform routine maintenance checks on vehicles and report any mechanical issues promptly.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in truck driving, including route driving and delivery operations.
- Hazmat Certification or ability to obtain certification
- Knowledge of different trailer types such as flatbeds, dump trucks, tanker and roll-off trucks.
- Ability to operate manual transmission trucks safely and efficiently.
- Experience with fr8handling, load unload procedures, and cargo securement techniques.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to operate auxiliary equipment such as forklifts and telehandler when necessary for loading or unloading cargo.
- Strong navigation skills with route planning experience.
- Excellent driving record with a focus on safety and compliance.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to adhere to delivery schedules.
- Physical ability to handle the demands of long hours on the road and manage cargo handling tasks effectively.
