Job Detail
  • Perform preventive maintenance, including tire, oil, and brake changes on diesel tractors, container chassis, and forklifts.
  • Inspect and assess parts for damage and excessive wear.
  • Replace and repair tires.
  • Complete work orders, order necessary parts, and handle daily administrative duties as required.
  • Ensure all vehicles and equipment are properly maintained and safe for operators’ use.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and best practices while repairing equipment.
  • Accurately document repair activities in Repair Orders, detailing steps taken and parts used.
  • Collaborate effectively with peers and supervisors.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Physical Requirements:
  • The physical demands of this role include bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, and lifting 50 pounds or more. Tasks may require working both indoors and outdoors. Please note, this description is not exhaustive. additional related duties may be required day-to-day.
  • Skills
  • Proven experience as a trailer mechanic or service technician
  • Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering. familiar with power tools and hand tools.
  • Experience working with tractor-trailers, heavy equipment operation (forklifts, yard trucks), and diesel engine repair.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Knowledge of tire service procedures and alignment techniques is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment requiring attention to detail.
