Tractor Mechanic

Job Detail
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on tractors and farm equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, and brake inspections
- Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Test equipment after repairs to ensure proper performance
- Keep accurate service records and communicate clearly with customers or supervisors
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Travel to job sites for on-farm repairs, if required
Qualifications
1 years of experience working on tractors or heavy equipment (more experience = higher pay) - Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics
- Physical ability to lift up to 75 lbs, bend, kneel, and work outdoors in various conditions
Preferred Experience
Hydraulic systems - Diesel engines
- Electrical diagnostics
- Welding and fabrication
- Specific brands (John Deere, Case IH, Kubota, etc
- )
