- Safety is an absolute responsibility of staff members at each level of authority for all that happens or fails to happen in response to the program within their respective area(s)
- Issue and receive tools, equipment and consumables to and from employees
- Maintain accurate records of tool usage, inventory levels and tool condition
- Inspect tools and equipment for damage or wear; coordinate repairs or replacements as needed
- Oraganize and maintain the tool room for efficient storage and easy access
- Perform periodic inventory checks and audits of tools and equipment
- Track calibration scheduled and coordinate calibration services for precision tools
- Assist in developing and enforcing tool room policies, including tool check-out procedures and loss prevention
- Monitor tool usage to identify high usage items and recommend inventory adjustments
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and proper storage procedures
Qualifications:
High School Diploma [or equivalent] - 1-2 years of experience in an industrial construction tool room environment
- Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with various hand tools, power tools and precision measuring instruments
- Proficiency in using computer systems for inventory tracking
- Must possess exceptional organizational skills and be detail and goal oriented
- Ability to lift and move tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs)
