Job Detail
- Measure, cut, and install tiles on floors, walls, and other surfaces according to project specifications
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying appropriate adhesives or mortar
- Read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation
- Utilize hand tools such as caulking guns, trowels, chisels, and tile cutters effectively
- Operate power tools safely for cutting and shaping tiles or related materials
- Perform related carpentry tasks including trim carpentry, fixture installation, and cabinet mounting as needed
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and finished appearance
- Assist with restoration projects involving water damage repair or industry-specific restoration work
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of debris properly
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in flooring installation, tile laying, or related construction fields
- Knowledge of construction estimating and blueprint reading is preferred
- Hands-on experience with hand tools and power tools used in tile installation and carpentry
- Familiarity with schematics, fixture installation, and remodeling processes
- Experience in water damage restoration or the restoration industry is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols on construction sites
- Ability to read technical drawings accurately and follow detailed instructions
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience with concrete finishing, buffing, or construction painting is advantageous
- Valid driver’s license preferred for travel between job sites
