Job Brief
Job descriptionwe are looking for a technician apprentice in the des moines/ames area with experience in at least one of these categories: electrical, construction, mechanical, or electronics.

Diploma in releted field is required
Job Detail
- Driver’s license with good driving record.
- Comfortable with computer
- Knowledge of multimeter
- Open to applicants who do not have a high school diploma/GED
- Open to applicants who do not have a college diploma
- Key Responsibilities:Installation and Setup of Scale Systems:
- Install scales, electrical wiring and control systems for scale equipment, including platform scales, bench scales and truck scales.
- Set up and calibrate electrical/mechanical components in new scale systems for proper function.
- Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
- Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/mechanical systems in scale equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Address electrical/mechanical malfunctions or issues with load cells, sensors, or other electronic components in the scale system.
- Calibration and Testing:
- Test electrical systems to verify the proper operation of scale devices and ensure accurate w8measurements.
- Calibrate weigh scales and related electronic components to ensure they meet regulatory standards and customer specifications.
- Customer Interaction and Support:
- Respond to service calls from clients needing assistance with scale problems.
- Provide guidance and advice on proper electrical/mechanical setup and maintenance to ensure continued accuracy and performance of the scale systems.
- Skills and Qualifications:
- Technical Skills: Some understanding of low voltage electrical systems.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot electrical issues in scale systems, including sensors, wiring, and other components.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, good communication skills, and the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Working Conditions:
- Work in various environments, including warehouses, industrial plants, or outdoor settings depending on the location of the scale systems
