Job Detail
- Conduct field testing and analysis of HVAC systems, including air flow, water flow, pressure, and temperatures.
- Adjust and balance systems to achieve optimal performance, ensuring compliance with engineering specifications and project documents.
- Record detailed measurements and observations during testing, and prepare comprehensive test and balance reports for submission to clients and engineers.
- Develop work plans, recommend corrective actions for system deficiencies, and implement safety protocols on job sites.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to troubleshoot issues and verify system functionality post-installation.
- Perform testing on commercial HVAC systems, including air handling units, chillers, boilers, and ductwork. Medical PTO Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required. associate’s degree in HVAC, mechanical engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on experience in testing, adjusting, and balancing HVAC systems is highly desirable.
- Certification from a recognized body such as the National Environmental Balancing Bureau (NEBB) or Associated Air Balance Council (AABC) is highly desirable.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for travel to job sites.
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills for interpreting data and performing calculations.
- Proficiency with testing equipment (e.g, manometers, anemometers, flow hoods) and software for data logging and reporting.
- Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work in physically demanding environments (e.g, climbing ladders, working in confined spaces).
- Self-motivated, reliable, and punctual with strong communication skills for documenting findings and interacting with team members.
- Knowledge of building codes, energy efficiency standards, and safety regulations (e.g, OSHA).
