Job Detail
  • Shift Details Sunday through Thursday, 5:30 PM to 2:00 AM (or until shift completion)
  • Training schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm (subject to change as needed)
  • Compensation: This role has a budgeted range of $28
  • 00 -$30

  • 50 Shift Differential


    Key Responsibilities:

    Maintaining, modifying, troubleshooting, and repairing various electronic and electro-mechanical systems throughout the distribution center
  • Providing comprehensive electrical support for facility systems, including: Conveyor systems
  • A-Frame sorting equipment
  • Industrial printers
  • Strapping machines
  • Compressors
  • Other automated technologiesDemonstrating advanced skills in facility maintenance with particular emphasis on electrical troubleshooting
  • Self-directed learning of new systems and equipment as technology evolves
  • Leading and training other facilities assistants, serving as a technical mentor
  • Maintaining professional relationships with vendors and ensuring effective communication

    Minimum Qualifications:

    3 years of related experience


    Critical Skills:

    Experience troubleshooting control systems (from relay logic to microprocessor-based controls)
  • Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
  • Excellent understanding of electrical and mechanical systems, including Power feeders, Transformers, Generators, Switchgear, AC/DC drives, PLCs, UPS systems, Compressors, Strappers, Air handling units, and CRAC units
  • At least 2 years of experience in mechanical/HVAC, electrical, or a combination
  • Quick learning ability and problem-solving skills
  • Flexibility with work hours and days, including holidays and short-notice call-ins


    Preferred Qualifications:

    Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and light electrical construction experience
  • Experience with Windows XP/Windows 7 and work order systems
  • Experience with Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO) procedures and OSHA regulations
  • Leadership and communication skills, especially during high-pressure situations
  • Ability to effectively communicate with the facilities team, vendors, operations, and IT
  • Ability to communicate intelligently with contractors performing maintenance or upgrades
  • Education: Associate degree, trade school certification, or other verifiable training in a relevant technical field is preferred
