Job Detail
- Perform electrical testing services on power apparatus, substations, and switchgear included (but not limited to) the following: Protective relaying and relaying systems
- Circuit Breakers
- Power Transformers
- Current and Potential Transformers, etc
Qualifications:
AAS in Electrical or Electronics Technology or equivalent experience in the high voltage industry, Military background loved and respected- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in the high voltage industry
- NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV) required
- Skills: Power DB knowledge a plus
- Broad knowledge of electrical AC/DC fundamentals (Electrical)
- Broad knowledge of the major components of a substation
- Broad knowledge of control and protection systems (Electrical)
- Knowledge of high-voltage electric field theory (Electrical)
- Broad knowledge of electrical code and standards (NEC, NESC, and applicable IEEE and ANSI) (Electrical)
- Broad knowledge of civil / structural codes and standards (NESC, and applicable IEEE, ANSI, AISC and ACI) (Civil / Structural)
- Broad knowledge of the function of major electrical equipment
- Broad knowledge of ground grid theory and design (Electrical)
