Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Installer to join our team. This role involves installing solar energy systems on residential and commercial properties, ensuring safety, efficiency, and adherence to industry standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical work, construction, and roofing, with the ability to interpret schematics and blueprints. Responsibilities
Install solar panels, mounting systems, wiring, and electrical components on various structures including rooftops and ground mounts
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to ensure accurate installation
Handle high voltage and low voltage electrical systems following NEC (National Electrical Code) standards
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively during installation processes
Perform fixture installation, electrical wiring, and troubleshooting of solar energy systems
Assist with roofing tasks related to solar panel mounting when necessary
Operate forklifts or other construction site equipment as required for material handling
Ensure all installations meet safety regulations and quality standards
Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
Experience
Prior experience with commercial electrician work or electrical installation is highly preferred
Construction site experience including roofing, plumbing, or general construction work is advantageous
Familiarity with high voltage and low voltage electrical systems
Knowledge of NEC regulations related to solar energy systems
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately
Experience with hand tools, power tools, and fixture installation techniques
Previous work involving roofing or construction projects is a plus
Valid forklift operation certification is desirable but not mandatory
Strong safety awareness and adherence to OSHA standards are essential

Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $24.66 – $29.69 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 50 per week
