Job Detail
- Operate snow plow trucks and related equipment to effectively clear snow and ice from designated areas, including roads, parking lots, sidewalks, and pathways.
- Perform routine inspections of plow machinery and power tools to ensure proper functioning and safety standards are met.
- Apply salt, sand, or other de-icing materials to enhance traction and safety on cleared surfaces.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to address any equipment malfunctions or repairs needed promptly.
- Assist with landscaping tasks such as lawn care, landscape maintenance, tree trimming, mowing, and gardening during off-peak seasons to support overall site aesthetics.
- Use hand tools and power tools for minor repairs or adjustments to equipment or surrounding infrastructure.
- Maintain detailed records of work completed, including areas cleared and materials used, for reporting purposes.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to prevent accidents and ensure a secure working environment during snow removal operations.
- Qualifications
- Proven mechanical knowledge with experience operating snow plows or similar heavy machinery such as excavators or landscaping equipment.
- Familiarity with lawn care, landscape maintenance, tree care, irrigation systems, gardening, hardscape installation, and general horticulture practices is a plus.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively for maintenance tasks.
- Prior experience in construction or landscaping environments is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to machinery operation and outdoor work environments.
- Excellent physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift heavy loads, and perform strenuous activities in various weather conditions.
