Job Detail
- Serve as the technician for large-tonnage air conditioning and chiller systems, including troubleshooting, repair, testing, and system optimization.
- Conduct pre-deployment inspections and performance checks to ensure all units meet operational and safety standards.
- Perform complex diagnostics and recommend cost-effective repair or upgrade solutions.
- Research and source obsolete or hard-to-find replacement components.
- Support initiatives to integrate remote monitoring and smart system technologies.
- Mentor and train junior HVAC and chiller technicians to enhance team knowledge and skillsets.
- Participate in large-scale installation and commissioning projects, providing technical expertise and operational support.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, work orders, and equipment history records.
- Assist with parts procurement, inventory control, and related administrative tasks.
- Demonstrate flexibility and a collaborative approach in supporting other company operations as needed.
- Qualifications
- Minimum of 5–7 years of experience servicing and repairing large commercial or industrial HVAC and chiller systems.
- Strong knowledge of refrigeration systems, controls, and thermodynamic principles.
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification required.
- Proven ability to diagnose complex system issues and implement effective solutions.
- Experience mentoring or training other technicians preferred.
- Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make sound technical decisions in the field.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to travel and work a rotating on-call schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Schedule Compensation
- Full-time position. on-call rotations may apply. Overtime and double-time pay available for qualifying hours. Quarterly bonuses.
