Job Detail
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, diagnostics, and repair of commercial and industrial HVAC systems, including RTUs, chillers, boilers, VAVs, heat pumps, VRF/VRV systems, and controls.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance, inspections, and performance testing according to manufacturer and company standards.
  • Lead and mentor junior technicians, providing on-the-job training and technical guidance.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend efficiency improvements or upgrades.
  • Coordinate and communicate with dispatchers, project managers, and customers regarding job status and findings.
  • Complete accurate service documentation, timesheets, and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies, environmental regulations, and industry codes.
  • Assist with start-up and commissioning of new commercial HVAC installations as needed.
  • Serve as a technical resource for complex or high-priority service calls.
  • Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required. Associate degree or HVAC technical certification preferred.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in commercial or industrial HVAC service.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification (required).
  • Expert knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, refrigeration cycles, and control systems (DDC/BAS).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs., climb ladders, and work in various environments and weather conditions.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with building automation systems (e.g, Trane, Johnson Controls, Siemens, or Honeywell).
  • Proficiency with chiller and boiler systems.
  • Factory training or certifications on major HVAC brands (Trane, Daikin, Carrier, Lennox, etc.).
  • Experience leading teams or mentoring apprentices.
