Job Detail
  • Oversee and manage multiple civil engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to quality standards, budgets, and timelines
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships, actively participating in business development and marketing initiatives
  • Lead project teams, providing mentorship and guidance to junior and mid-level engineers
  • Conduct site assessments, feasibility studies, and risk analyses for potential projects
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success
  • Perform and review advanced engineering calculations, ensuring accuracy in detailed drawings, specifications, and technical reports
  • Manage project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation effectively
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, particularly those specific to Newport Beach and California
  • Drive innovation by researching and implementing cutting-edge civil engineering technologies and methodologies
  • Prepare and present comprehensive project reports and proposals to clients and stakeholders

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s degree preferred
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in California required
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering project design and management
  • Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
  • Extensive knowledge of civil engineering principles, codes, and regulations, with a focus on California and Newport Beach-specific requirements
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Office Suite
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills for advanced civil design engineering
  • Demonstrated experience in managing project schedules, budgets, and technical documentation
  • Excellent leadership abilities with a collaborative approach to team-based problem-solving
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills, including technical report writing and client presentations
  • Ability to think innovatively and implement creative solutions to complex engineering challenges
  • Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and industry trends

    Additional Information

    Physical Demands And Work Environment

    Duties are typically performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table
  • Ability to actively engage with a computer for several hours per day and communicate over the telephone or virtual meeting platforms
  • occasionally need to lift items up to 15 lbs
  • Occasional travel be required to visit project sites
  • Site visits involve walking on uneven terrain, climbing stairs or ladders, and exposure to outdoor elements such as weather, noise, or construction activity


  • Compensation

    The total compensation for this role includes a competitive base salary starting at $130,000 , combined with a performance-based bonus structure tied to the individual’s contributions to the overall success and growth of the office
  • The base salary will be established based on the level of experience and contribution the individual can make
