Job Detail
- Install, repair, and replace roofing materials such as shingles, metal panels, and membrane systems
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to ensure accurate project execution
- Use hand tools, power tools, and roofing equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment to facilitate roofing installation or repairs
- Apply caulking, trim carpentry, stucco, and other finishing techniques to ensure a seamless roof surface
- Coordinate with project managers and other trades such as framing, masonry, plumbing, and restoration teams
- Maintain a clean and safe work site by adhering to safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Assist in construction estimating tasks related to roofing projects when needed
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure work meets industry standards and client expectations
- Experience
- Proven experience in roofing installation or repair on residential or commercial sites
- Strong background in construction site experience with knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics
- Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus
- Skills in using hand tools, power tools, metal stud framing, framing carpentry, tile laying, welding, and other related trades are highly desirable
- Experience with heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, safety procedures on construction sites, and working at heights is essential
- Prior maintenance person experience or skills in remodeling, restoration work, or concrete forming will be advantageous
- Ability to read technical drawings such as schematics for roofing systems or metal framing plans
