Job Detail
- Operate robotic welding equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with work instructions
- Set up, load, and position parts or assemblies for welding operations
- Inspect completed welds for proper penetration, size, and quality to meet specifications
- Adjust and maintain robotic welding parameters as directed by supervision or quality control
- Assist in fixture setup, part changeovers, and basic programming edits as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area following 5S standards
- Report equipment issues, part defects, or safety concerns immediately to the Production Supervisor
- Participate in cross-training activities and continuous improvement initiatives
- Follow all safety guidelines and use required PPE at all times
- Support additional production or assembly duties as needed
Qualifications
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required- 1–2 years of welding or robotic welding experience preferred
- Forklift certification (or willingness to train) required
- Experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment preferred
Skills & Competencies
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, part drawings, and welding symbols- Understanding of welding parameters and quality control processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain consistent work quality
- Dependable, team-oriented, and safety-focused
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods
- Willingness to cross-train and support other production areas as needed
Working Conditions
This position operates on the manufacturing floor with exposure to moderate noise, heat, sparks, and moving machinery- Proper PPE-including safety glasses, gloves, welding helmet, and steel-toe boots-is required at all times
- The role involves standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive motions throughout the shift
- Occasional overtime or weekend work be required based on production needs
