Job Detail
- Perform thorough cleaning of all areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and equipment twice a week specifically mid week and on Friday or Saturday to prepare for Sunday worship.
- Conduct janitorial duties such as trash removal, dusting, window washing, and restocking supplies to maintain a spotless environment.
- Purchasing needed supplies from Sam’s Club, Walmart, Lowe’s, or Home Depot, etc.
- Execute floor care tasks including sweeping, and mopping to preserve the integrity and appearance of various flooring surfaces.
- Carry out painting projects when needed to refresh interior spaces or touch up walls and ceilings or to remove graffiti.
- Perform general maintenance duties such as repairing minor plumbing issues, replacing light bulbs, fixing doors or locks, and addressing other small repairs promptly as needed.
- Support facilities maintenance by inspecting equipment, reporting issues, and ensuring safety protocols are followed at all times.
- Maintain cleanliness standards across all work areas while adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Support portering functions by moving furniture or equipment as required for events or space reconfigurations.
- Document completed tasks and report any significant repairs or safety concerns to supervisors for prompt action.
- Experience
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or residential settings is highly preferred.
- Prior experience in industrial cleaning or facilities maintenance will be considered an asset.
- Hands-on experience with general maintenance person tasks including minor repairs and painting enhances your suitability for this role.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow cleaning procedures and safety guidelines meticulously.
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as buffers, scrubbers, vacuums, and pressure washers safely and effectively.
- Excellent organizational skills with the capacity to prioritize tasks efficiently during busy periods.
