  • Fully understand the project scope, contract requirements, and limits of supply
  • Lead all engineering activities to deliver complete and compliant project designs
  • Ensure alignment of engineering deliverables with schedule, budget, and quality targets
  • Identify and implement cost-effective design optimisations and standardisation opportunities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to Project Engineer I/II and external consultants
  • Support the Project Manager and Procurement teams with timely technical information and decisions
  • Act as engineering lead during design reviews, HAZOPs, factory acceptance tests, and site commissioning
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and tools within the organisation

  • Key Tasks:
    Lead multi-disciplinary design teams (mechanical, electrical, process, controls, civil) from concept through detailed design
  • Review and approve design documents, P&IDs, datasheets, drawings, and specifications
  • Ensure engineering deliverables comply with local codes, standards, and best practices
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Procurement, and Construction to resolve technical issues quickly and effectively
  • Support cost estimation and risk assessment during proposal and project stages
  • Manage interfaces between internal engineering teams and external design partners
  • Oversee equipment selection, vendor document reviews, and technical bid evaluations
  • Provide technical support during construction, commissioning, and plant start-up phases
  • Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and accountability

  • Profile & Requirements
    Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Environmental, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent)
  • 7–10 years of engineering experience in biogas, wastewater, energy, or process industries
  • Strong understanding of piping systems, pressure vessels, rotating equipment, instrumentation, and control systems
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Plant 3D, or equivalent design software; familiarity with SCADA/PLC systems is an asset
  • Proven experience coordinating multi-disciplinary design teams and managing external engineering firms
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across departments
