$22.77 – $27.42 an hour

Job Detail
- Install a variety of flooring materials including hardwood, laminate, vinyl, tile, and carpet according to project specifications.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accurate installation.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors or existing surfaces as needed.
- Use hand tools such as caulking guns, chisels, hammers, and saws to execute precise cuts and fittings.
- Operate power tools safely for cutting, sanding, buffing, and finishing flooring materials.
- Perform trim carpentry tasks including baseboards, moldings, and fixture installation to ensure seamless transitions.
- Conduct water damage restoration work when required, including drying and replacing damaged flooring or structures.
- Apply floor care techniques such as buffing and sealing to enhance durability and appearance.
- Assist with remodeling projects involving cabinet installation, construction painting, concrete finishing, or other related tasks.
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure work environment on construction sites.
- Experience
- Proven experience in flooring installation with a strong understanding of various flooring types and installation techniques.
- Construction estimating experience is a plus for assessing project scope and material needs.
- Background in construction site work with familiarity in blueprint reading and schematics interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, carpentry skills including trim carpentry and fixture installation.
- Knowledge of water damage restoration processes within the restoration industry is advantageous.
- Experience in floor care maintenance such as buffing or sealing floors for long-term durability.
- Prior involvement in remodeling projects including cabinet installation or construction painting is preferred.
