Job Detail
  • This is an entry level position for maintenance personnel desiring a career path as a Power Distribution Technician(PDT)
  • Under direct mentorship, a PDT Associate will gain knowledge of preventive/predictive maintenance, diagnostics and repairing a variety of electronic and/or electrical equipment relative to their assigned location
  • Assist mentor with LOTO of equipment and function testing to verify equipment readiness
  • Must have a basic understanding of electronic and/or electrical schematics/drawings/prints
  • Performs work within a variety of Halliburton specific software and hardware
  • Assist with rig up/down of electric frac equipment including making electrical connections which includes deploying of medium voltage electric cables)
  • Assist mentor with identifying unsafe conditions and suspending site operations until conditions are safe
  • It is expected that someone in this role is able to break out as an independent PDT within 1 year of start


  • Qualifications

    A high school diploma or equivalent and a technical certificate in applicable discipline is required
  • The role is a developmental role that will work around three phase power distribution components up to 15,000 volts (medium voltage electricity), PLC hardware, and cabling
  • This role is developmental role through OJT and trainings

  • Candidates having qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher level roles given (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs
