Job Detail
- Supervise and direct plumbing field crews and subcontractors on commercial projects.
- Coordinate daily job site activities to ensure project milestones and deadlines are met.
- Interpret blueprints, specifications, and submittals to guide installation and resolve design issues.
- Plan, schedule, and assign manpower, tools, and materials to optimize efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and company standards.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship and enforce quality control.
- Collaborate closely with general contractors, project managers, engineers, and other trades.
- Manage field documentation including daily reports, material logs, and change orders.
- Participate in pre-construction planning, progress meetings, and coordination sessions.
- Troubleshoot and resolve on-site problems promptly to minimize delays.
- Enforce and promote a strong safety culture. ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate plumbing foremen, journeymen, and apprentices.
- Qualifications:
- Experience: 7+ years of commercial plumbing experience, including at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. completion of a plumbing apprenticeship or technical training preferred.
- Licensing: Valid journeyman or master plumber license (as required by state/local regulations).
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Deep understanding of commercial plumbing systems, installation methods, and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills with field and office personnel.
- Proficient in project scheduling, documentation, and basic computer applications (e.g, Procore, Bluebeam, MS Office).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to work on active construction sites, including climbing ladders, lifting up to 50 lbs., and working outdoors.
