Job Detail
- Project Management:
- · Oversee all aspects of plumbing projects from initial planning, all phases and closeout.
- · Develop detailed work plans for crews, schedules, and timelines, and adjust proactively to keep projects on track.
- · Monitor project costs and manage budgets, including tracking labor, materials, and equipment expenditures.
- · Coordinate with general contractors, clients, suppliers, and other trades (e.g, electricians, architects) to ensure smooth project operations.
- · Review and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to guide installations and prevent errors.
- · Prepare and maintain all project documentation, including permits, daily logs, inspection reports, and change orders.
- Employee Management Leadership:
- · Direct, manage, and mentor a team of journey-level plumbers and apprentices, providing technical guidance and support as needed.
- · Schedule and assign daily tasks to crew members, ensuring efficient deployment of manpower and resources.
- · Foster a positive team environment, conducting regular meetings (e.g, toolbox talks) to communicate work scope, safety concerns, and progress.
- · Evaluate team member performance, provide feedback, and support professional growth.
- Quality Safety Assurance:
- Provide quality control checks utilizing a digital scheduling program via iPads, with documentation (photos and notes) daily.
- Ensure all plumbing work complies with local and national plumbing codes, safety regulations (e.g, OSHA), and company standards.
- Enforce a safe work environment and lead safety initiatives to protect personnel and prevent incidents.
- Required Qualifications Skills
- Minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a plumber, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or foreman role.
- Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish is preferred.
- Valid plumbing license (Journeyman or Master Plumber).
- Thorough understanding of plumbing systems (commercial/residential), building codes, and safety standards.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with project management software, estimating tools, and standard office applications.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to various job sites.
