Job Detail
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts.
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components.
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment required for plumbing installations.
- Conduct remodeling tasks by replacing or upgrading existing plumbing systems in commercial or residential structures.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing work with carpentry, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other trades.
- Ensure all work complies with local building codes, safety regulations, and schematics.
- Utilize basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning during installations.
- Operate construction vehicles or commercial driving equipment as needed for material transportation.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times.
- Assist with troubleshooting mechanical issues related to plumbing systems using your mechanical knowledge.
- Support the assembly of plumbing fixtures and systems during new construction or remodeling projects.
- Participate in site inspections to verify quality standards and adherence to project timelines.
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in construction plumbing or related fields with a strong understanding of plumbing systems.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, pipe threading machines, and schematics reading.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and their integration with plumbing is a plus.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of pipe fitting, assembly, and remodeling techniques.
- Physical strength for heavy lifting tasks and working at heights or confined spaces safely.
- Construction site experience demonstrating familiarity with safety procedures and teamwork dynamics.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and layout planning essential for precise installations.
- Carpentry skills beneficial for framing or supporting plumbing infrastructure during remodeling projects.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) or ability to operate construction vehicles is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Maintenance Person experience or general remodeling background enhances versatility on diverse projects.
