Job Brief
Title: plumberunder general supervision, assembles, installs, and repairs pipes, fittings, and fixtures of heating, water, and drainage systems.

$52,637 – $77,807 a year

Diploma or GED required.
Job Detail
- Assembles and installs valves, pipe fittings and pipes composed of metals, such as iron, steel, brass/lead and nonmetals, such as glass, vitrified clay and plastic.
- Installs and repairs plumbing fixtures such as sinks, commodes, bathtubs, water heaters, hot water tanks, garbage disposal units, dishwashers and water softeners. installs cooling towers, boilers and chillers.
- Handles emergencies and communicates with the principals and supervisors when dealing with on-site emergencies such as evacuation from buildings.
- Ensures that work orders have been completed and maintains equipment.
- Communicates with supervisor every morning on job plan. reviews incomplete work orders to ensure completion and closes completed work orders electronically.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or GED required. Associate degree or equivalent completed college coursework in pipe system design, safety, and tool use from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university is preferred.
- Minimum 3(3) years of journey level plumbing or closely related experience is required.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, PERMITS:
- Active Georgia Journeyman Plumbers’ License preferred. Valid Georgia Driver’s License required. CPO Certification preferred.
