Job Detail
- Ensures all equipment is operating properly and maintains equipment as needed in order to maintain a proper operation.
- Ensures all parts are painted properly including, but not exclusive mill thickness, light paint, proper paint color.
- Responsible for accepting and organizing powder into the paint storage area. Paints are to be consumed in the FIFO method with the storage area being clean and organized.
- Responsible for consumption of powder. Mill thickness of paint is critical and must be maintained at the minimum acceptable coverage.
- Responsible for waste powder. Reclaim must be maintained to work properly at all times to limit the amount of powder wasted.
- Maintains a working knowledge of paint equipment and painting procedures of all products and understands quality requirements.
- Is responsible for the quality of the finish off the paint line and ensures employees are in place to properly maintain a quality finish.
- Coordinates line speeds to ensure optimum performance of the paint line.
- Insures that company rules and policies are followed.
- Reports any maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
- Continually cleans the paint room and area behind the paint room to reduce cross contamination issues as well as maintaining a clean work area. Compressed air is to be used only for color changes and mops should be used on floors, walls, etc. to reduce the amount of powder in the air.
- Works within the guidelines of the quality program.
- Insures good housekeeping in work area.
- Keeps management informed of any problems or accidents.
- Gives proper consideration to safety on each job and enforces all company safety rules, policies, and procedures.

- PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Ability to work with and direct the activities of employees. Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide. Use direct readings and fixed gauges.
