Job Detail
  • Perform routine maintenance duties to complete all service requests for repair and maintenance of all grounds, buildings, apartment homes, and equipment in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
  • Assist in the execution of preventative maintenance program.
  • Communicates with Director of Plant Ops for needed technical advice, product information, research, and quality assurance guidance.
  • Advise Director of Plant Ops of the overall condition of the equipment and furnishings of the community.
  • Assist with Fire Safety and Disaster Preparedness Evacuation procedures.
  • Prepares various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, sandblasting, or other means necessary.
  • Mixes, matches, and blends various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains, and special protective coatings to achieve desired color, consistency, and drying properties.
  • Keeps up general maintenance by using caulks, putties, cement to plaster holes and cracks.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for working on ladders, scaffolding, and lifts and must be able to use them properly.
  • Determines quantities and requests supplies that are needed.
  • Cleans and stores tools and equipment as well as the work site.
  • Has considerable knowledge of OSHA standards for chemical use.
  • Educational Requirements and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Must express or demonstrate an interest in working with the senior population.
  • Must have basic technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform routine maintenance and repair on mechanical and electrical equipment and possess a basic knowledge of construction principles.
  • Minimum 1(1) year of painting and maintenance experience. #INDNC2
