Job Detail
- Perform field surveys to collect data for new and existing OSP infrastructure (aerial, underground, and buried).
- Document existing utility infrastructure, including poles, conduit systems, handholes, and cable routes.
- Use GPS and mapping tools to record precise location data and create accurate field sketches.
- Identify potential conflicts, obstructions, and permitting requirements during site visits.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure field data aligns with project specifications.
- Communicate with local municipalities, utility companies, and property owners as needed.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations during field operations.
- Provide daily updates and reports to project managers and supervisors.
- Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent. technical training or associate degree in telecommunications or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of experience in OSP fielding, utility locating, or telecom construction.
- Familiarity with OSP components including fiber optics, copper cabling, poles, and conduit systems.
- Proficiency with field data collection tools (e.g, tablets, GPS, GIS software).
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction plans.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.

- Pay: $22 – $26 per hour
- Expected hours: 40 per week
