Job Brief
We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly motivated outside plant (osp) fielder to join our telecommunications team.

Job Detail
  • Perform field surveys to collect data for new and existing OSP infrastructure (aerial, underground, and buried).
  • Document existing utility infrastructure, including poles, conduit systems, handholes, and cable routes.
  • Use GPS and mapping tools to record precise location data and create accurate field sketches.
  • Identify potential conflicts, obstructions, and permitting requirements during site visits.
  • Collaborate with engineering and design teams to ensure field data aligns with project specifications.
  • Communicate with local municipalities, utility companies, and property owners as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations during field operations.
  • Provide daily updates and reports to project managers and supervisors.
  • Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent. technical training or associate degree in telecommunications or related field preferred.
  • 1–3 years of experience in OSP fielding, utility locating, or telecom construction.
  • Familiarity with OSP components including fiber optics, copper cabling, poles, and conduit systems.
  • Proficiency with field data collection tools (e.g, tablets, GPS, GIS software).
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction plans.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively.
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $22 – $26 per hour
  • Expected hours: 40 per week
