Job Detail
- Operate, and monitor CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, primarily utilizing Fanuc controls or similar systems.
- Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, and GDT (Geometric Dimensioning Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise manufacturing.
- Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision measuring instruments to verify part dimensions.
- Maintain tooling, fixtures, and tooling setups. troubleshoot tooling issues promptly to minimize downtime.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, repair tasks as needed.
- Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste.
- Maintain detailed documentation of machine adjustments, inspections, and production logs.
- Ensure safety compliance by adhering to all safety procedures during machine operation and handling hazardous materials such as plastics or metals.
- Support team collaboration through effective communication with colleagues across departments such as assembly or quality control.
- Experience
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing setting.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, GDT standards, and mechanical drawings is essential for accurate interpretation of specifications.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feed rates, speeds, and other machining parameters.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing principles aimed at continuous improvement in production efficiency.
