Job Detail
- Basic electrical and mechanical experience or aptitude is preferred
- Excellent technical and problem-solving ability
- Ability to troubleshoot communication issues over the phone as directed
- Excellent verbal, written, and telephone communication skills
- Strong personal initiative and ability to work with little supervision
- Basic computer, email, and internet skills for receiving work instructions and job reporting
- Ability to learn internal communication system
- Comply with DOT rules and regulations to maintain Commercial Drivers’ License (Musco will assist in obtaining the CDL Training/License)
Roles And Responsibilities
Drive and operate Mobile lighting equipment at temporary lighting projects, including, but not limited to crane trucks, generators, forklifts, man lifts, all terrain forklifts, and rental cars - Perform field service work, which will require working in aerial lifts, climbing poles, or driving/operating Musco equipment
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and inspection of equipment and product
- Coordinate time frames for projects with customers, vendors, equipment, and people resources for assigned projects
- Maintain consistent communication with Field Logistics Manager regarding daily work duties and schedules
- Provide detailed written field reports and completion of required paperwork within one week of project or assignment of paperwork
- Provide leadership to crew and coordinate issues with vendors and customers on projects where Project Management responsibility has been assigned
- Make solid daily expense related decisions
- Other duties as assigned
Other Special Requirements
Weekend and holiday work are regular - Long and odd work hours are necessary at times
- Projects to service lighting poles or structures that are between 40 and 120 feet tall using aerial lifts or by climbing with approved fall protect equipment, in rare cases servicing heights of over 120 feet be required
