Job Detail
- Select, measure, cut, and weld aluminum and other metals to specified dimensions
- Prepare work surfaces and materials to ensure safety and proper welds
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings with accuracy
- Operate cranes and machinery to move materials as needed
- Determine and apply appropriate gas ratios for MIG welding
- Inspect and test welds for strength and quality during and after completion
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety protocols
- Provide guidance or mentorship to less experienced welders (if applicable)
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent - Completion of a vocational training program or formal welding apprenticeship
- Minimum 4 years of hands-on MIG welding experience with aluminum
- Strong physical stamina, dexterity, and attention to detail
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines
- Solid understanding of welding safety procedures and equipment
- Strong work ethic and a willingness to work overtime when needed
- Clean criminal background and ability to pass a drug screening
- Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus
