Job Detail
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine fabrication requirements.
- Operate various power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently to cut, shape, and assemble sheet metal, pipe, and other materials.
- Perform welding using MIG (Metal Inert Gas), TIG (Tungs10Inert Gas), FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), and <.LOCATION>. welding techniques to join metal components securely.
- Use precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication according to specifications.
- Set up and operate machinery including press brake machines, plasma cutters, and pipe threading equipment for precise fabrication tasks.
- Conduct rigging activities to lift, position, and secure heavy materials or assemblies safely on-site or in the shop.
- Fabricate ductwork, structural steel, mechanical components, or custom assemblies for construction or manufacturing projects.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols related to welding, machining, rigging, and material handling.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot fabrication issues and ensure project deadlines are met efficiently.
- Follow ASME codes standards for pressure vessels, piping systems, and structural components to guarantee compliance with industry regulations.
- Requirements
- Proven construction site experience or background in manufacturing environments involving metal fabrication.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, TIG welding, FCAW welding techniques. experience with <.LOCATION>. welding is a plus.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Skilled in using calipers, micrometers, hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, press brake machines, and other fabrication equipment.
- Knowledge of mechanical systems including pipe threading and soldering processes.
- Familiarity with rigging practices for lifting heavy materials safely on-site or within the shop setting.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Experience with construction-related equipment such as forklifts or cranes is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong understanding of safety procedures related to welding, machining, rigging, and working at heights.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
