Mechanic Assistant

Position: Mechanic Assistant

The mechanic assistant/intern will be under the direction of our senior mechanics, and will assist with light duty maintenance jobs, such as oil changes, brake pad replacements, and tune-ups, as well as provide support during more complicated repairs.

$18 – $19 an hour

Professional Journey is required

Diploma in releted field is required

• Conduct basic maintenance tasks on fleet vehicles
• Assist mechanics in major projects
• Log inventory and record repairs
• Detail and clean vehicles
• Keep the shop area clean and safe
• Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High school diploma or GED
• Completion of or enrollment in an auto repair program (preferred)
• Experience with hand and power tools
• Familiarity with both gasoline and diesel equipment
• Experience in welding/fabrication a plus
• Ideally, have their own tools for the light duty work
• Must have the ability to pass pre-employment background including MVR and criminal checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
