Job Description

Job Detail
  • Perform upgrades, repairs, and installations throughout the facility
  • These activities will be driven by our Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
  • This system provides instruction, manuals, records completion, and track the time for these tasks
  • Maintain continuous plastic extrusion lines running
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical failures on lines
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance
  • Assist other team members (Technician I) with more technical or advanced troubleshooting
  • Flexible Work hours and OT as needed
  • Performs functions of a maintenance technician including repairs on: motors, drives, gearboxes, heater circuits, wiring, plumbing, hydraulics, pumps, fabrication of equipment and light machine shop work
  • Follows all requirements of Hazardous Energy Control programs, applicable NEC, ANSI, CDRH, NFPA, OSHA, Federal, State and Local regulations
  • Safety training is provided

    Education

    High school diploma or equivalent technical education is required
  • Associates Degree or equivalent degree preferred
  • Certifications preferred

    Experience

    3-7 years experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment in industrial mechanical and electrical maintenance
  • Proven maintenance experience with plastics manufacturing equipment, including injection molding, automated assembly, or extrusion machines
  • Electrical skills and ability to read electrical drawings for troubleshooting
  • Experience with variable frequency drives (ABB, AllenBrady Power Flex, Emerson)
  • Familiar with PC based control systems (Command line and PowerShell experience)
  • Familiar with basic oscilloscope functions
  • Experience with centralized loading systems
  • Must have own tools, outside of specialty tools that are provided by Toro
  • Experience with industrial water systems, chillers, compressors, and water systems
  • CMMS experience
