Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team and ensure the optimal operation of our hotel to ensure the interior and exterior is properly maintained andin proper working order.
In this role, you will be responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance across various systems, troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Your expertise will keep our operations running smoothly, supporting production goals and facility integrity.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery, electrical systems, HVAC units, plumbing, and building infrastructure to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues using schematics, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
Repair or replace defective components through mechanical adjustments, or electrical repairs to minimize out of service rooms.
Utilize computers and other technology to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule preventative maintenance tasks.
Perform facilities maintenance tasks including residential painting, carpentry repairs, drywall work, and general custodial duties to maintain a safe and clean environment.
Serve as point of contact to contractors during maintenance projects while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
Interpret technical schematics and wiring diagrams accurately to diagnose complex issues quickly.
Maintain compliance with safety standards by adhering to OSHA regulations and company policies during all maintenance activities.
Support manufacturing operations by ensuring equipment is calibrated correctly and operational at all times.
Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to management team, housekeeping and the front desk for repairs or maintenance needs across the hotel
Maintain a safe environment, for employees and guests both inside the hotel and outside on the property as well.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge with experience in facilities maintenance within manufacturing or industrial environments.
Proficiency in electrical systems troubleshooting with hands-on experience working with schematics and wiring diagrams.
Able to troubleshoot, solve problems and make repairs.
Ability to read technical schematics and electrical diagrams accurately.
Knowledge of painting techniques for minor interior or exterior touch-ups as needed.
Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical testing.
Strong leadership qualities with previous supervising experience preferred.
Excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with team members and vendors.
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in confined spaces safely.
