Job Detail
- Install, terminate, and test low-voltage cabling (Cat5e, Cat6, fiber, coax, etc.)
- Mount and wire low-voltage devices such as cameras, access control readers, and fire system components
- Assist with installation and setup of network switches, routers, and other connected devices
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and schematics
- Ensure installations meet NEC and local building code requirements
- Troubleshoot and repair existing systems as needed
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work and materials used
- Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other team members to meet project deadlines
- Preferred Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in low-voltage installation (structured cabling, fire, security, or network systems)
- Working knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP addressing, switches, routers)
- Experience with fire alarm systems or NICET certification is a plus
- Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment safely and effectively
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working on ladders, lifts, and in confined spaces
- Ability to travel locally to job sites as required
