Job Detail
  • Lead the installation of HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
  • Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and HVAC design plans to execute precise installations.
  • Supervise and coordinate field service activities, ensuring timely completion of projects while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using tools such as ohmmeters and troubleshoot equipment failures to facilitate efficient repairs.
  • Perform plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and refrigeration lines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Conduct equipment repair, welding, maintenance tasks, and property upkeep to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Manage refrigerant handling procedures including ammonia refrigeration systems and ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
  • Operate a variety of tools and machinery such as welding equipment, diagnostic devices, and maintenance tools effectively.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians on installation techniques, safety procedures, schematics interpretation, and troubleshooting methods.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of work performed, including service reports, schematics updates, and compliance records.
  • Ensure all installations meet local codes, industry standards, and company quality benchmarks.
  • Qualifications
  • 5-10 years proven experience in construction-related roles with a focus on HVAC installation or service technician work.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration)
  • Familiarity with schematics interpretation and HVAC design principles for accurate system setup.
  • Experience working with ammonia refrigeration systems is highly desirable.
  • Skilled in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of property maintenance practices related to HVAC systems and general building upkeep.
  • Field service experience demonstrating the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues promptly.
  • Excellent communication skills combined with leadership qualities necessary for supervising teams effectively.
