Job Detail
  • Lead and coordinate diagnostic assessments, repairs, and preventive maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspensions, brakes, shocks struts, HVAC systems, and electrical components.
  • Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues efficiently.
  • Perform fabrication tasks such as welding, soldering, and equipment assembly to support repair projects.
  • Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial machinery safely and effectively.
  • Conduct vehicle alignment procedures and air brake system inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
  • Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to track repair history and ensure accountability.
  • Mentor and supervise team members by providing technical guidance on automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, and equipment servicing.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety protocols and industry regulations while promoting a culture of safety awareness among team members.
  • Assist in inventory management by ordering parts and tools necessary for repairs. maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Engage with customers professionally to explain repair processes, provide updates on service status, and ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Requirements
  • Proven experience working as a Diesel Technician or Heavy Equipment Mechanic within a dealership or industrial setting.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with expertise in diesel engine repair, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, brakes (including air brake systems), shocks struts.
  • Proficiency in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding (including MIG/TIG), soldering, assembly work, and use of power tools.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts (certification preferred), tractor-trailers (CDL license advantageous), and other industrial equipment safely.
  • Familiarity with automotive diagnostics software and electronic testing tools for accurate troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of farm machinery maintenance as well as industrial equipment repair is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong attention to detail for precise repairs and inspections.
  • Physical ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working in various environmental conditions.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and interact professionally with customers.
  • Certifications related to diesel engines (such as ASE certifications), air brake systems or welding are preferred but not mandatory.
