Job Brief
We’re seeking an experienced and hands-on lead building engineer to assisting in overseeing building operations, maintenance, and safety across a high-end residential community.

Salary Detail
$28 – $32 an hour

Job Detail
  • Supervise and mentor maintenance technicians, assigning daily work orders and projects.
  • Ensure all service requests, preventive maintenance, and unit turns are completed efficiently and to company standards.
  • Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to the maintenance team.
  • Maintain strong communication with property management and residents to ensure timely issue resolution.
  • Building Operations Systems Oversight
  • Manage all major building systems including HVAC, boilers, chillers, electrical, and plumbing.
  • Perform regular inspections of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems to ensure safety and optimal operation.
  • Oversee preventive maintenance schedules and maintain accurate documentation of completed work.
  • Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations and coordinate vendor support when necessary.
  • Vendor Project Management
  • Coordinate and oversee vendors and contractors performing repairs, capital projects, and upgrades.
  • Ensure all work meets quality, safety, and compliance standards.
  • Review and approve invoices, and maintain inventory of tools, parts, and materials.
  • Safety Compliance
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes.
  • Maintain safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures and MSDS documentation.
  • Conduct routine safety meetings and inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Resident Property Experience
  • Ensure the property’s physical condition meets luxury standards at all times.
  • Communicate professionally with residents, providing prompt and courteous service.
  • Maintain the appearance of all common areas, amenities, and building systems rooms.
  • Qualifications
  • 2+ years of hands-on building maintenance or engineering experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, boilers, chillers, pumps, and electrical systems.
  • EPA Universal Certification (Prefferred)
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical repair.
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
  • Proficient in using work order systems, maintenance software, and digital documentation tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
