Job Detail
- Work as part of Laser Group on the development of laser processing and parameter development in support of LECO products and systems
- Work with lasers, optics, motion systems, welding torches, and/or power supplies to conduct process and parameter development
- Work with Lincoln Electric Sales Team to develop and deliver laser solutions

Job Duties:
Perform, instruct and supervise testing of internal R&D efforts - Interact with suppliers, customers, distributors, and sales engineers on a regular basis
- Perform other duties assigned by the supervisor
- Usually works with minimum supervision, conferring with superior on unusual matters
- Demonstrate laser processes for internal and external visitors to Laser Laboratory (EP-5)
- Travel to assist with installations/runoff at customer facilities
- Assignments are broad in nature, requiring originality and ingenuity

Education and Experience Requirements:
Minimum High School Diploma/GED; Associates or Bachelor’s in Engineering, Project Engineering or Engineering Technology preferred - 3-5 years laser welding experience
- Experience with laser processing and/or robotics is desirable
- Robotic programming experience is desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret weld symbols
- Skill in the use of computers, specifically a PC, Windows-based operating environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to work in a lab environment and perform welds without assistance
- Ability to handle a constantly changing set of priorities
- Willingness to travel 20% of the time
- Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
