Job Detail
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in commercial and residential settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute project plans accurately
- Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete tasks efficiently
- Perform pipe fitting, threading, and assembly according to specifications
- Conduct remodeling and maintenance work on existing plumbing infrastructure
- Collaborate with construction teams to ensure seamless integration of plumbing systems within larger projects
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues related to plumbing and HVAC systems
- Adhere to safety protocols during heavy lifting, working at heights, or in confined spaces
- Assist with site setup, demolition, or renovation activities as needed
- Maintain detailed records of work performed and materials used
- Experience
- Iowa Journeyman plumbing license
- Proven field service experience on construction sites involving plumbing installation and repair
- Extensive knowledge of construction plumbing practices and building codes
- Familiarity with HVAC systems and general mechanical knowledge is a plus
- Experience with carpentry, remodeling projects, or maintenance person work is advantageous
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely
- Demonstrated ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations required during installations or repairs

- Key Responsibilities:
- Perform service calls and warranty work, including diagnostics, repairs, and minor installations.
- Communicate effectively with customers, explaining findings and recommending solutions.
- Accurately diagnose plumbing issues and provide efficient, lasting repairs.
- Complete required documentation, including service reports and warranty claims.
- Ensure all work meets plumbing code and safety standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including job site and company vehicle.
- Collaborate with dispatch and management for scheduling and job updates.
- Mentor and support apprentices as needed during service visits.
- Maintain inventory of service vehicle materials and request restocks as needed.
- Follow all company policies regarding conduct, safety, and vehicle use.
- Pass background and drug testing procedures.
- Minimum Requirements:
- 2+ years of plumbing service experience.
- Valid Journeyman Plumber’s License (preferred. required in some areas).
- Valid driver’s license and insurable under company vehicle policy.
- Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently.
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and confined space work.
- Proficient use of hand and power tools.
- Physical Demands:
- Frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs. heavier loads with assistance.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and driving.
- Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
- Work in crawl spaces, attics, and other confined or elevated environments.
- Regular use of ladders and power tools.
- Strong hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Use of PPE, including gloves, safety glasses, and hearing protection, is required.

- Work Environment:
- Work is performed both indoors and outdoors, of10in varying weather conditions.
- Exposure to residential and commercial plumbing systems, including dirty or wet environments.
