Position: Journeyman Electrician

Job Brief
About ussweep construction is a small general contractor that has recently opened a new electrical division and is seeking motivated individuals to grow with our new team.

Salary Detail
$24 – $30 an hour

Job Detail
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and components.
  • Bend conduit, pull wire, and install raceways, panels, fixtures, and devices.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and perform system diagnostics.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams.
  • Ensure all work meets NEC, local codes, and company standards.
  • Train or mentor apprentice electricians as needed.
  • Complete job-site documentation and communicate effectively with project managers.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow OSHA safety practices.
  • Preferred Skills Qualifications
  • Strong conduit bending skills (EMT, RMC, IMC, PVC, etc.)
  • Advanced troubleshooting of electrical systems
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Solid understanding of 120/208V and 277/480V systems
  • Experience with motor controls, VFDs, and control circuits
  • Proficiency with electrical test meters and diagnostic equipment
  • Ability to lead small crews or work independently
  • Knowledge of NEC requirements and local electrical codes
  • Ability to read and interpret complex electrical drawings
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and time-management skills
  • Requirements
  • Valid NM EE98J Journeyman Electrician License
  • Minimum 4 years of field experience
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work in various environments (heights, confined spaces, outdoors)
  • Willingness to work overtime or travel, depending on project needs
  • Job Type: Full-time
  • Pay: $24 – $30 per hour
